Research so far has focused primarily on the relationship between the individual and the mechanisms that govern her, especially where identity construction and the subsequent notions and experiences of otherness and marginalisation are concerned - in issues as diverse as post-colonialism, intersectionality, nationalism and post-memory, speciesism, conflict resolution and urban development.
