About
My general research interests are in regional planning with a special focus on tall buildings and the management of their visual impacts. The visual impacts of tall buildings have become a major concern in many European Cities - planning and urban design is becoming increasingly three-dimensional.
The planning processes for tall buildings involve a wide range of actors from different levels of government, the private sector, various pressure groups as well as the UNESCO. My principal aim is to examine how these various actors interact in the production of policies and in processes of implementing specific tall building projects.
